In September 2016 32 amateur photographers, led by Ireland’s foremost professionals across 5 photography workshops, spent 2 days in some of Ireland’s most remote locations along the Wild Atlantic Way. From north Donegal to West Cork, their purpose was an inspiring educational experience and the creation of a unique photographic snapshot in time, the IrishLight Collection 2016. The theme of the workshops was Atlantic Reach and we are now ready to produce a book and exhibition of this amazing and unique work, all in aid of charity.
The work shows you the light unfold through teams of photographers shooting different locations simultaneously. This is the essence of the IrishLight Collection. You will see sunrise in Connemara and turn the page to see what’s been happening with the light in Donegal.
We now want to turn the IrishLight Collection into something tangible. Something you can enjoy forever, all with the goal of raising money for the Samaritans.
The book itself will be a 128 page A4 with a hard back and dust cover jacket.
The IrishLight Collection by its very nature is a collaborative experience. We want to now ask you to collaborate with us and help us turn this amazing collection of work into an inspiring book and exhibition. It’s a great chance to take part but also to provide vital support to a really worthy charity in the Samaritans .
