“My photography is largely illustrative, showing magical lighting conditions and spectacular scenery. I’m a great believer in the trustworthiness of photography as an artistic medium. Whilst I edit my images they are all real, with nothing added or taken away.”

Alex Nail is a professional landscape photographer known for his photos of remote and mountainous areas. His images and time-lapse photography are used by the UK’s biggest tourism and conservation organisations including Visit Britain and the Woodland Trust. Alex writes for and provides images to a range of outdoor and photographic magazines.

Originally from Dartmoor, Alex’s love of rolling moorland and isolated tors soon developed into a passion for the mountains of Snowdonia and Scotland. As well as going on personal backpacking trips to wilderness areas he leads adventure based photography workshops worldwide.
