IrishLight 2018 – Coming Soon ! Read On ..

Catch your breath. Well, that’s what we’ve been trying to do since last year’s festival. With a hectic schedule of Autumn and Winter workshops via our sister company ExploreLight, we have been travelling all over the world photographing amazing landscapes. Home is where the heart is though, and we are delighted to be back in Ireland ready for a new IrishLight programme.

We were so happy with the success of 2017. Despite a hurricane being thrown at us, we managed to run a successful series of workshops across the Irish Islands. There were cancelled boats, large-scale room re-organisation and general drama created by isolated locations and tough weather. Delighted to report, however, that we pulled it off and we are currently working on the new IrishLight Collection due to be published in exhibition and book format come September.

We also have an exciting programme of workshops again for September 2018 that we will announce soon so watch this space. We can reveal the workshops will take place between the 27th and 30th of September but the theme is still a secret.

What we can confirm is that we have in place again an amazing team with Peter Gordon, Daragh Muldowney, Rohan Reilly, Michael McLaughlin, George Karbus, Peter Cox and Norman McCloskey leading the workshops.

We were also delighted with the Big Day and the inspirational talks from our international speakers, Charlie Waite and Sandra Bartocha plus local artist Norman McCloskey. We had Nikon, Lee Filters and Conns plus local printers and framers Inspirational Arts and 360 DPI.

Big news coming on this front for 2018 too.

We are planning a whole new series of free talks, a brand new competition plus a new aspect to the festival, portfolio reviews.

So watch this space .. IrishLight will be back soon ..
