Sandra Bartocha @ Big Day – IrishLight Festival 2017

Meet The Speakers : Sandra Bartocha : Big Day : 15 10 2017 : Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire

Sandra Bartocha is a freelance photographer who specialises in nature and travel photography. Her main goal is to create images that interpret a scene in an artistic and aesthetic way to evoke emotions – rather than just documenting a scene.

Sandra will be speaking about her amazing journey through the Nordic and the stunning book and collection of images that she created on her journey. A genuinely international body of work that is not to be missed.

Known as LYS – this is a large scale photography project by Sandra Bartocha and Werner Bollmann. For four years they travelled the European North from the bright Danish woodlands and pastures in the south to the blue glaciers of Spitsbergen in the north, from the storm-battered coast of Norway in the west to the quiet Finnish forests in the east.

Join us at the Big Day to see Sandra in person and this truly amazing collection of work.. Early Bird Ends Soon ..

Sandra describes her philosophy as:

‘The meditative silence of a dawning morning, dramatic games of wind and light with clouds and landscape, the colour palette of the flowers on fields and meadows, the intensity of the human gaze … Clear forms and strong colours, sometimes loud, sometimes quiet – atmospheric. .. The elements earth, water, air and fire – reduced to 24x36mm …’

We can’t wait to hear Sandra speak about her work and techniques at the Big Day event on 15th October in The Royal Marine Hotel We just love her work. Browse through some of her stunning images below
